On Friday 27 September 2019 a group of our pupils took part in a very blustery beach clean along Eastbourne seafront.
Starting at the Sovereign Water Works building at the far end of the town, our staff and pupils walked along the 2.6 mile stretch of beach to the The Birley Centre, Eastbourne College, collecting anything they could along the way.
Once safely in the warmth of the building, the pupils then put their passions to the test and discussed ideas for a ‘Car Free Eastbourne Day’ in September 2020.
Following this, they were treated to a presentation from Jolyon Brewiss about the making of the Eden Project in Cornwall and the future projects that are being developed for other locations around the world, our pupils are very keen to get Eastbourne on that map!
