‘Making Natural History’ Environment Conference
The Eastbourne Schools Partnership have been invited to take part in an exciting Festival of the Environment Conference on Monday 9 November. Due to current Covid restrictions this will be an series of online provisions, showcasing shining examples of environmental activism, conservation and education; it will include a series of family-friendly virtual presentations, discussions and masterclasses.
The festival is in part a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 1995 UN Children’s Conference ‘Leave it up to us’ on the Environment, which was held in Eastbourne, and which was attended by over 800 pupils from around the world.
There will be a number of high level speakers, and as part of the day ESP pupils will present some of the initiatives which they have undertaken linked to improving our environment, and which are building on the legacy of the 1995 conference.
